![]() Reading Exercises on Roman Gods & Gladiators* Braden provides three Latin reading exercises and three reading comprehension exercises, which are also in Latin. The reading exercises focus on the ancient Roman gods and Roman gladiators. The reading comprehension quizzes that accompany each reading include questions about the grammatical function of verb forms and syntax to which students must respond in Latin and English. *The Proserpina readings are based on De Proserpina as found on page 107-122 in Latin Our Living Heritage, 1968. The Gladiator reading is based on the translation by Francisco Turre in the September, 2000 Pompeiiana Newsletter. Considerable changes have been made to both in order to meet students' abilities and vocabulary.
