Olympus
by Lee Burnett, Germantown Academy, PA

Task

Each one of you will be assigned one of the Greek gods to study. For your project, you will need to know:

  1. Where the god comes from (how he/she was born or created)?
  2. What his/her powers and areas of expertise are?
  3. One myth which illustrates these powers or is in some way well known.

This information will be presented to the class in a Power Point presentation:

  1. Be clear and concise, don't put in tons of extra writing. Use lists and outlines.
  2. Support your lists with illustrations-either your own or ones from a book or the web.
  3. You will be giving an oral presentation to the class. Be prepared to discuss, explain, and go into further detail about your god and the myth you've chosen.

Due Date: Wednesday, November 22. Once the presentations are made in class, everyone is responsible for knowing the myth and the information given.
