Students will practice the presentation skill by performing a skit, dance or dramatic presentation about the movie The Odyssey.

Sequence of Lesson Activities
The teacher will show the students the movie the Odyssey.
The teacher will provide students with information on characters, plot and mythological elements in the Odyssey.
Students will use Tiberius or Nero Buddies to form 4 person teams.
Each team must write and perform a dramatic presentation, skit or dance using the characters, and myths from the Odyssey in costume.
Skits and presentations will be judged on originality, content and creativity as well as ability to perform and memorize lines. Best skit will receive the "Olive Branch Award."
Homework:
Students need to write a skit or dramatic presentation on some aspect of the Odyssey using characters, plot or mythological references for supportive documentation.
Long Term Planning
This is a one week assignment.
