Iliad Introductory PowerPoint Presentations

by CTCWeb Editors

Warfare, Geography and the Gods PowerPoint

The idea for this presentation arose from student questions regarding Homer's Iliad. Students questioned what kinds of weapons the Greeks and Trojans used, how the soldiers were transported from Greece to the city of Troy, what kinds of places the Greek soldiers came from and how the Greeks imagined their gods and goddesses. This presentation is designed to anticipate the questions from other students and offer teachers ways to respond.

To find artwork and primary text links on the ancient epics to make the texts come alive, see Homer: The Iliad and the Odyssey.
