Introduction to Perseus: Part II

Below you will research the
ancient Greek hero Theseus. You can easily substitute the name
of another hero, e.g., Perseus, Herakles, Achilles, for Theseus
in the exercise below.
Note:
There are many different ways to go back to web pages you have
viewed using various browser menus and buttons. One method is
suggested in this exercise but please use the method with which
you are most comfortable.
1. Open your browser and go
to the Perseus web site, http://www.perseus.tufts.edu.
2. Go to the Search box, type
in "Theseus" and hit return.
3. Click on the "English
Index," which is the top choice on the left-hand side.
4. Type "Theseus"
into the Search box in the middle of the screen and click on
the Search button.
5. When the search results appear,
scroll to the bottom of the page.
How many entries are listed

box on the left side of page and type in "Theseus"
and hit return.

9. Go back using the Back button
on your browser and click on the arrow next to "Vases."

10. If so, click on a vase name
to view its catalog information. Write down the vase name, e.g.,

11. Click on "Images"
at the top of the page to view a list of images for this vase.
