Chapter 2, Drill b: Use of nominative
and accusative
Each Latin sentence contains a Latin noun
in parentheses. Decide what ending the meaning requires, that
is, what case it is, and provide the noun in the correct case.
Use vocabulary from Chapters 1 and 2.
Example
Scintilla (filia) iuvat. Answer: filiam,
because the daughter must be the direct object.
Type the answers in the boxes beside the
Latin sentence, and remember that the word order does not determine
whether a noun is subject or direct object.
